Before everything was digital, background music used to be played off of tape machines. If the machines were not maintained, and the tape was worn, everything had a slightly warped, lofi sound, which adds to the cozy vibes in my opinion.

I tried to re-create that with some plug-ins, mostly the Waves Retro Fi.
