Compilation of early recordings released by Deathrock band Christian Death (with Valor) in 1990 under Contempo Records.
The album in question presents itself as an alternation of say traditional pieces, such as those already mentioned and others that have a strongly evocative and introspective flavor, short instrumental suites in which a certain gothic and funeral noise brings the listener to a world ethereal and dreamy, a melting of fears and phobias. Songs like "Blast of the Bough" or "Amaterasu" testify this.
Let's talk about the little gem, the little gem contained in this collection: the song "Lacrima Christi". "Past, Present and Forever" contains both the English version, which is nothing more than 9 minutes of disturbing voodoo noise, chilling to the core, and the Italian version ;)
