He argues that the Minsk Accords were never intended to bring peace—but to buy time for Ukraine to build up forces against Russia.
Williamson recalls Russia's proposed security treaty calling for Ukrainian neutrality and an end to NATO expansion—demands he describes as "perfectly reasonable," especially given James Baker's broken pledge to Gorbachev that NATO would not move "one inch eastward."
He explains how a peace deal was nearly reached six weeks into the war, only to be sabotaged by then-UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson—whom Williamson says "has blood on his hands." He also criticises Keir Starmer for prolonging the conflict.
Drawing on Julian Assange's "forever war" analysis and Smedley Butler's 1935 pamphlet War Is a Racket, Williamson accuses defence contractors like Raytheon and Lockheed Martin of profiting from death and destruction.
