Chris Watts complained of ‘writer’s cramps’ in his hands day after strangulation-smotherings

Chris was on his way to Nick and Amanda Thayer’s home that evening when the police told him to swing by the station instead. The original audio file was nearly four hours long, as Chris spent from approximately 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the station. The long and mostly silent parts have been edited out as Chris filled out info that authorities asked to complete.
A few quiet “Fuck this!” and/or “Fuck!” could be heard, along with Watts tapping a writing utensil or some other object on the table. Sounds of Chris drinking and other banging-on-the-table noises were heard, but the four hours has been edited down to a more manageable and less boring 2 hours and 14 minutes in this video.
Chris said he ate the same thing everyday. It’s an app I have on my phone, he said. I try to eat about 5 times per day, Watts said.
He complained about writer’s cramp.
Protein shake, oatmeal, chicken. Chris liked talking about his food and his work tools, wrenches, etc.
That deep concern can’t be faked.
Who are you worried about?
If someone yells at me, I just take it - Chris explained his persona and claimed he would never hurt his wife and kids.
I’d step in front of a bullet, a train, for those girls.
