In this video, I show you the 8 pens and inks I'm using for letter writing this month plus a quick glance into my pen box where several other pen projects are happening.
To keep from getting overwhelmed I'll use primarily these 8 pens at my desk and the others I will be testing and trying inks etc in my bullet journal etc. I need to write MANY pen pal letters so that is a major focus for January.

2. TWSBI Diamond 580 Iris (B) with Montblanc Psychedelic Purple ink
3. Waterman Expert (F) pen from pen friend M.B. with a blue cartridge
4. Pilot Vanishing Point Gunmetal Rhodium (M) with Diamine Writer's Blood
5. Platinum Century 3776 Nice (B) with Diamine Writer's Blood

8. JANUARY SCHOOL/CHILD pen: Pelikan Pelikano Red (M) right handed pen with blue cartridge
Happy New Year my friends and may 2023 be a blessed year!!!! Thank you pen friends for all the generous contributions of inks, ink samples, pens and other amazing things you've sent me throughout the year ... I will be talking about it more in a separate video but I plan another "Ink Down" where I have NO NEW INKS coming in from any source while I complete study and comparison of inks already here. This happens from time to time over the years where I get back logged with inks and feel that to purchase or accept any new ones until I'm caught up is just not sensible. That's where I'm at right now. It will take a lot of will power not to purchase ink (and success is not guaranteed) because it's such a habit to "try all the inks" ... so maybe I better not say never ... just a temporary no INK buy or something. [this is always hard to declare since there are so many new brands coming out but honestly I may lose my mind if I introduce one more ink vial into this office] ... I'll work out the detail/policy and we can talk about it. If you want to help you can send an ink tile to the website or mail a swatch to me so I will have it for comparison but it's best if I don't accept any more actual ink samples for the time being. More on that soon. I want to honor the gifts of ink samples already in house. Thank you so much for those.
