Chris Grigg came to Wide Open Design ready to step out of a full-bodied Jeep and into a purpose-built race buggy designed specifically for:

National Rock Racing Series
Pro Rock
Outlaw hill climbs
extreme rock racing competition

We took Chris’s proven drivetrain package and integrated it into one of our Rocketship chassis platforms, while redesigning and stretching the mid-section to better fit his seating position and driveline layout.

This build also became the launch platform for our new DIY trailing arm series — designed to give home builders race-proven strength with builder-friendly fabrication.
