In Episode No. 5 of Chord of the Month, we look at another voicing for a major 9. It's a nice and simple one that creates an open, sparse kind of sound. It is interchangeable with basically any major 7 chord.
If you really want to implement this voicing into your own playing, I recommend taking it through the circle of fifths and learning it in all 12 keys.
