I promised you cookies, now you get cookies! Oh and I also talk a bit about book and reading related stuff...

If you also wanna bake the cookies, here's the recipe:

160g Flour
160g Butter (room temperature)
100g White Sugar
220g Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1 Egg Yolk
1 Tbsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Baking soda
Chocolate and whatever you wanna put into your cookies!

Cream your butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs together. Mix flour, salt and baking soda in a separate bowl.
Combine both mixtures, but don't overmix the dough unless you want a really tough cookie!
Stir in your chocolate (you can also add nuts or dried fruit, just have fun with it!).
Preheat your oven to 165°C.
Take either a clean cookie sheet or line a sheet with parchment paper and space out even portions of dough. Be careful to leave enough space around each cookie, since these spread like crazy!
Bake for 10-12 minutes, let them cool completely and enjoy!
