I've been holding onto this song for a while, and decided to test out the new sony vegas program with it, and of course, my favourite relationship eveerr: chloe and clark (chlark). I wanted to match the lyrics as best as possible, and even tell a bit of a story with it, and have it not just be a bunch of clips thrown together. I didn't use many, if any, flashes, because the new program is incredibly different, and I wasn't use to it yet, so sorry for that.
Anyway, so the story is basically --
the beginning of the video shows chloe and clark sharing feelings for each other that they don't exactly let out to one another, despite wanting to desperately. And chloe waits too long to act on them, because clark has grown feelings for lois now, and so their chance is blown. Its all too familiar to chloe, who has experienced this before with lana, but clark's relationship with lois is a little more serious than she expected, and she reflects on what she wanted, which mirrors what lois is receiving -- clark is marrying her.
So, chloe decides she's going to leave, and says her goodbyes to clark, and its sort of mirrored in the 'hostage' scene to show that she can't always depend on him to be there to rescue her, and she has to move on. And so she gets up and leaves -- then we go through all of their wonderful, epic moments, hugs, saves, smiles, everything, until ... chloe finds herself falling into the arms of oliver, just as clark begins to regret his decision to not be with her, and express his feelings.
Then we're back to chloe, who is leaving smallville -- she hears someone, and turns, expecting clark to be there to confess his feelings to her and keep her in town, instead she finds oliver, and while it may not be who she originally wanted, she can't wait forever for her superman to sweep her off her feet, especially when she has the love of a man who she knows can be there for her.
I was going to continue the video, through till the back half of the song, and show a bit more of the chlollie/clois aspect of it a little more, but I think its better to end where it did, and have it more of a "chlark" video, because they are my OTP. This was kind of what my 'someone like you' video was going to be like, with chlark/chlollie/clois, but I still haven't found the motivation to go back and finish that. I might one day.
Things to look forward to -- I'm going to be completing the Chloe Series Retrospective, and once they're all uploaded, I'm going to attempt to upload a full video with all the seasons combined, so you can watch it all as one. It'll have a nice little intro to it, that I've already made, and so, you can all look forward to that! Also, shockingly enough, I'm working on a buffy the vampire slayer video for my friend, Chris, whose birthday is coming up, and a few other "non-smallville" related projects.
