Ayy, look at that, I'm not dead!
So, I suddenly decided to upload the music I have on Soundcloud into here, considering it's been nearly 2 years since I touched my channel, so yeah.
Speaking of being inactive, all my videos starting with this one will have a little warning at the beginning.
Anyway, taking into consideration the reveal of Sans in Smash Bros. Ultimate around last year, here's a DOS-esque cover of the theme that plays in the ruins from UNDERTALE, which I made around June of that year.
I mainly intended to use Adlib Tracker II to recreate this song, but I found it immensely complicated, so I switched to OpenMPT, which made everything slightly easier.
Listening to this song and recreating it made me feel extremely nostalgic... kinda makes me wish I could go back in time and re-experience the game.

The year is 2020.
A global pandemic was taking place, forcing everyone to take shelter on their homes and do what they usually do outside via remote measures. However, for people like myself who stay indoors nearly all the time, things werent that much different. One thing did change, though...
Around the first quarter of that year, I was invited to be part of Paradise of Boundaries, a community focused on Touhou Project where fans could share their interest with the games, the printworks and anything related to it. At the time, the main staff of the community were taking their first steps on becoming a creative team, which resulted in the release of a few albums centered on arrangements of music from older Touhou games. Then, by the time we were already through half of the year, they tried something a little bit more ambitious: create an album, based on ZUNs Secret Sealing Club collection, that narrates an original story while being bundled with arranges of Touhou music AND original compositions.
That resulted in their first original album, 令和時代好奇心 ~ Otherworldly Paradox. It was premiered on September 26th of that year (https://youtu.be/c_wcAQEfx4w) and it was a moderate success, Id say.
Now, considering that today has been exactly 5 years since its release, Ive decided to redo one of the two original songs that I composed for the album, which is Track 1 (https://youtu.be/XBedc1xG_OA).
Despite knowing that Track 6 seemed to be my most liked song (https://youtu.be/LzTi7VdqMDI), since Ive learned that some people have done arrangements to it, I have a strong connection with Track 1 on a personal level. Considering that this was the first major-scale project Ive ever worked on, coupled with the fact that I was tasked to compose an introductory song that could invest listeners to be interested on playing the rest of the album, I initially felt insecure that I was gonna fail at it... however, the positive feedback Ive got from the staff when I finished writing it left a major impact on myself, to the point that I feel this song became a cornerstone on my music-making career. My magnum opus, some people might say.
Despite the fact Im not part of the team anymore since Ive left a couple of years ago due of burnout and my personal frustration of the lack of monetary compensation, I still decided to recreate this song so the album could be remembered one more time.
Even though nowadays my musical skills have expanded to the point I dont consider myself anymore to be exclusively a Touhou-style music composer, Im still proud of this song, to the point I feel it should remain as my legacy.
So yeah, happy 5th anniversary to Otherworldly Paradox, Paradise of Boundaries! Godspeed you on your future projects!")
