Check flight for the flight to Texas.
Mooney's Chino R&D facility is being merged with the production facility in Kerville, which requires relocating the M10 POC. The ferry to Texas will be the first time the M10 POC will leave the state of Texas. Deploying the airplane brought with it risks which needed to be mitigated. One of the ways we mitigated that risk was to thoroughly inspect the airplane, after which we needed an FCF (functional check flight).
For this flight we cleared the slow and fast sides of the envelope. We cleared the G envelope and swung the flaps. Kevin Kammer chased the flight in a Cessna 310, which is impressive. The Cessna 310 is planned to be the chase aircraft for the flight to Texas.
