Happy Chinese/Lunar New Year! This is a little preview of a recreation of the unreleased mainland Chinese iQue Wii version of Mario Kart Wii (马力欧卡丁车Wii in Simplified Chinese) that we have been working on for a while now, being played on the unused Chinese Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection region.
Me and a bunch of friends worked up some Simplified Chinese Mii names (thanks to my friend Diego for helping us), got our absolutely-not-legitimate iQue Wiis running, loaded up our still unfinished recreation of the mythical RMCC01, hooked up the Wiimmfi custom server, and enjoyed a few races on the unused Chinese region!
Keep in mind this recreation is still very far from finished. It is different from the ACG Chinese Mario Kart Wii custom translation and other Wii games fan translations in that we're trying to make it as accurate as possible from the resources we have to the unreleased disc, rather than just making it a translation modded over the Japanese version.
Very special thanks to everyone helping with this project, and to everyone who played! None of us actually speak Chinese, but getting to play on a forever lost version of the game thanks to the efforts of preservation is an absolute joy.
This isn't the first time we have all done a meetup to liven a Mario Kart Wii region, here are other times we've done the same, if you're interested:

![[Outdated] Wii no Ma (Wii Room) / Wiiの間 - Translation Progress (December 2020)
List of crashes: 9:00 / 14:45 / 16:33 / 17:55
This is absolutely not an early version of the second Public Beta, nope, not at all. We have also not gotten Digicam Print to work as well, and its absolutely not just that Im (probably) not allowed to show it. Nope, not at all. (Its really cool, though!)
This video also features the introduction. Thats right. The savefile and the Mii are no longer needed. Adiós, Mickey Mouse. The translation is a continuation from Glitchs by yours truly (and maybe some enhancements by the rest of the team but Im not sure). When English is fully working, we will start translating to other languages. Dies ist erst der Anfang.
Recorded on a physical European Wii U because both of my Wiis decided to randomly start throwing an error, but for the average user it should work fine on any Wii.
