World-class mixed martial arts returns to China this weekend as all contenders have arrived at the city on Wednesday for UFC Shanghai Fight Night. The two-day event features top global fighters and the Road to UFC semifinals, where rising contenders will compete for official UFC contracts.

The UFC's current sixth-ranked bantamweight title contender Song Yadong will headline the event against third-ranked Nurmagomedov.

Top strawweight veteran Yan Xiaonan returns from a one-year injury layoff to face a rising 26-year-old Brazilian striker.

Ticket sales for this weekend's event have already broken last year's 22 million yuan ($3 million USD) total, about to set UFC’s new Asian box-office record.
