Most men would probably be a little upset if their girlfriend had written off their flash new car - especially if it cost £850,000.

But Chinese multi-millionaire Xiong He, 39, was reportedly unconcerned when his girlfriend crashed his Porsche 918 Spyder into a tree - telling her not to worry because he'll buy a £1m Bugatti Veyron to replace it.

But the businessman says he'll keep the write-off in his front garden as a reminder "to let him do the driving" in the future.

He'd only just taken delivery of the car and was returning home from a shopping trip in the eastern Chinese city of Shanghai with his girlfriend when the crash happened.

He'd allowed her to take the steering wheel and eyewitnesses told how the car had swerved left and right down the road before smashing into the tree.
