The China Traveller | China's Weifang Kite Festival 2023 潍坊什么都能上天? @TravelinChina | Uploaded April 2023 | Updated October 2024, 20 hours ago.
The 40th Weifang International Kite Festival, China's annual event, is back! And for the first time in 3 years, kite enthusiasts from all over the world have descended upon the city, in Shandong Province, to fly some of the most amazing kites and creatures ever seen.
Traditional kites, centipede dragon head kites, modern kites, sport kites, soft kites... ALL THE KITES!
You really have to see this to believe it. It is simply AMAZING!
If you want more, I speak to some of the international competitors and find out why they've made the long journey from their home countries to attend one of China's biggest kite festivals: youtube.com/watch?v=jajrSmE_8Ss&t=306s
