With the help of our local guide, Xie Laoshi, we will learn whether this rural Chinese craft has a place in modern China and what steps the locals are taking to preserve this most ancient of Chinese art forms.
Along the way, we will be swept away by the rhythms of rural Chinese village life, participate in a feast and become the first foreigners ever to bear witness to one of China’s rarest traditions.
