China built one of the largest gas pipeline systems in the world, stretching over 20,000 km and moving more than 70 billion cubic meters of gas every year.
The West–East Gas Pipeline connects remote gas fields in Xinjiang to major cities like Shanghai and Beijing, while also linking with Central Asia and Russia through projects like the Power of Siberia.
