CHILL MODE ON: Activate your relaxation mode with this semi-lofi, summery sounding Chillout Lounge music where soft nylon acoustic guitar glides along with groovy drum machines and enjoyable electric guitar melodies with hints of summer beach atmosphere. Whether it’s to accompany your cozy indoor late afternoon time or when strolling around the coastline at 5 PM.

Music Backstory: The conception of this track started as I was fiddling around with my acoustic guitar, practicing new chord progressions. An interesting one came out and I quickly grabbed my Zoom H1N audio recorder to record what will eventually be the core of this music (the nylon acoustic guitar chords that start from the beginning). I was looking forward to create a Chillout Lounge that is modern and has that “cozy with a bit of urban touch” feel. The music then develops a bit unexpectedly, gaining more variance such as the addition of an ambient section with a “floating feel” that bridges the first half and the second half of the track. The second Climax transforms the track from a laid-back Chillout Lounge into a Chill Trap.
Notes:
- Chill Mode On has similar concept to the first track I released last year (2022), which is Solitude. But this one has way better execution and captures the exact vibe I was looking for.
- Interesting to note that I didn’t use samples and loops for the trap drums like most people would do. The drums are sound-designed from three drum machines (R-8, R-8 MK II, MFB-501 Pro), but the main one responsible for the Trap drum sound of this music is the Roland R-8 Mark II. The non-Trap, soft Chillout drums mostly on the first half of the track is from my MFB-501 Pro analog drum machine.
