An aspiring writer takes a job at a grocery store run by a mysterious doctor who claims he must live in freezing conditions. As he gets involved with a local woman and her detective ex investigating disappearances, he uncovers a horrifying truth: the doctor is actually dead and sustaining himself through gruesome, occult means involving his victims. Trapped in the store, the writer must escape before he becomes the next victim.
