Before Link leaves Hyrule at the end of Zelda Ocarina of Time I had the idea that maybe they could see each other everyday during a few days running at the same spot in Hyrule to look at the sky and have fun like childs would do. But all this is an actual memory of the Hero Shade coming back to Hyrule.
I was inspired by a cutscene from zelda Majora's Mask when Link get his Ocarina back he start to remember princess Zelda. The cutscene takes place the day Link leaved Hyrule for Termina. During the cutscene princess Zelda say that she enjoyed the days they had in hyrule so her words inspired me to create this beautiful animation. I had a lot of fun creating the environements and re-imagined Hyrule field my way.

In this new episode of Zelda Oot Next Gen I will recreate the famous Lake Hylia.
This lake is beautiful and full of mysteries so I wanted to recreate this feel by imagining how it could look like with the visual of a film.
The goal of this series is to reimagine these different environments as if they exist in real life using the Unreal Engine 5 and also to become a better artist in general. As a director, I also plan to present each of them with a cinematic. Even though Im not a game developer, I also take the time to learn how to code to have a playable character and show you those environments from a third person perspective.

As a fan who grew up with the legendary Zelda Ocarina of Time, I always wanted to see what the environments could look like with todays technologies such as 4K resolution and DLSS but also the new features of Unreal Engine 5 like the real time global illumination Lumen and the powerful Nanite allowing me to work with film quality assets. The first episode of this series is dedicated to Kakariko village where I wanted to recreate and show my vision of the village with a next gen look and feel.
