It seems that children have lost respect, but is that true?
What is the underlying reason that children behave the way they do?
Certainly, they have been raised by their own parents and that should play a major role in the children's behavior!
What if the subconscious knowledge that the parents are really lost, ignorant and irresponsible is present in the children? What if they sense the truth, that their forebears are responsible for the destructive ways of humanity?
What if the children sense that the planet they are left in is on the brink of collapse? That the oceans are depleted, the river polluted, the forests destroyed and the air poisoned?
What if the children subconsciously know that their parents send them to school throughout their best vital years of life, to learn silly and outdated information that serves only to become a 9 to 5 wage slave?
What if the children cannot express themselves well enough to explain this to their parents, because it is too hard to overcome the false authority of their elders?
What if their 'bad' behavior is a cry of emergency, a desperate screaming for attention?
What if the children could express themselves better?
Would it sound something like this: "Mom, Dad, Granpa, Granma, you don't know what you've done and you are still not willing to face the facts.
You have poisoned our planet with your greedy illusions of wealth. All your post war consumerism was not wealth, it was fabric stolen from the past and from our future.
The price we all pay was not worth the shortsighted abundance. It did not even lead to real, lasting, healthy and sustainable happiness. Your ideas were delusions, childishly shortsighted illusions and premature conclusions. You could not oversee the effects of your behaviors, nor did you even try too. When you claim to have authority over us children, you are mistaken. Your mouth, does not speak for you, your life does. We the children, in our earliest of years, can see past your mirage of false pretenses. You groom us to be 'brave', indoctrinated copies of your faults and teach us to turn our heads from truth, like you have done, but we sense the immediacy of our fate. We know what you have left us to clean up after you, if that is even possible.
We hear the clinking of your wine glasses, in the midst of all you shallow talk. We know your faulty values and the skin-deep people with whom you choose to walk."
