Communities can be unsafe places for all people living with HIV because of violence, including stigma and abuse. Children living with or affected by HIV can be especially vulnerable without appropriate support. But guardians and parents may lack sufficient skills to disclose or communicate about HIV, sexuality and death with children affected by HIV.

"Stepping Stones With Children" is a training package that specifically addresses bereavement, communication, age appropriate education and disclosure for young children and their guardian. It was developed by Salamander Trust in collaboration with PASADA and film maker and trainer Dominique Chadwick. This documentary showcases the impact of the "Stepping Stones with Children" workshops held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
