2023 was a year of resiliency for the City of Tampa. When compared to other major cities nationally, our violent crime rate is THREE TIMES lower than the national average.
Although we saw an overall decline in violent crime, our city still experienced a tragedy where two young community members were killed and 16 others were injured because of senseless gun violence.
In 2024, we will continue to work with our community in upholding our mission of making Tampa safer, together.
