We keep our chickens in an coop during the winter months as its much easier to keep the eggs from cracking and water from freezing. During the spring, summer and fall we house them in our egg mobile / chicken tractor on pasture where they have lots of grass, grubs and bugs!! I tried going without our electric netting... this didn't work lol.
