Everyday Cinematic Birds | Chick Barely Responding to Mother | Very Weak @EverydayCinematicBirds | Uploaded September 2021 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
This is an example of what happens when a very new baby bird chick is not fed enough. This chick is barely responding to its moms pleas to open its mouth. Newly hatched baby birds can get weak very quickly if they are not fed enough. New chicks require food every 15 to 30 minuets to stay healthy. If they don't then they become lethargic and are more difficult to feed. The mother cardinal finally is able to feed the chick when it opens its mouth but still on the bottom of the nest. The chick is just too weak to raise its head. The first few days of a new baby bird chick are defiantly the most difficult to survive especially in spring when it is cold.
