aah! to everybody's who made it this far and watched all 6 chapters of this series, thank you for being a part of the journey + the documentation/sharing of them! Incredibly blessed to see these places, have the flexibility in my schedule to arrange this trip, and a wonderful friend luke to experience it with. We definitely started to run out of time near the end. Would've been nice if we didn't have an end-date, but Luke had a hard deadline to be in new england by. Very grateful that we arrived safely, with only minor car issues, and were able to get stuff done like bring Bambi & Prairie back to NYC with me.
If I ever have a chance, I'd like to see more of the midwest. It was thunder and lightning during the part of the week we were there, so we skipped, for example, Lincoln NE and Des Moines as well. Not to mention Chi-town, and so many other places deserve a dedicated + extended stay to really soak it up. I hope you enjoyed the bits of trip I put together, and that it could bring you some entertainment and joy.
For nearly the full extent of this trip, places we visited were on no-mask-if-vaccinated policy and so we were unmasked in public- excited about things returning "back to normal". Not even a week after the trip's end, info about the variants were released, and places we'd just visited had reinstated the mask policy. Now releasing these vlogs after-the-fact, I apologize that I'm setting a bad example or seemingly promoting an anti-mask sentiment, which is NOT my intention! please know, i follow mask mandates and understand the importance of safety measures. i see how naive i was at the time thinking we were perfectly safe with the vaccination. I get a few questions about why nobody's wearing masks and i hope this clears things up!
◦●○ currently- It's been a tiresome week here in NY- i've been going to my art studio a couple days a week and trying to strike a balance between video/digital media work and painting/crafting. I want to say a huge thank you to members of my patreon that support me and make SO much of this possible at all. Also thankful for the sunshine and comfy, humid nights. Can't wait to catch you up and share updates! thank you so much again for watching these ^_^ travel videos so fun to make + especially rewatch/reminisce about.
