Hello everyone! In today's video we take a look at a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe w/ a 5.3l V8 engine. The owners complaint originally was that the brake light, ABS light and Traction control light were all illuminated. They had a trouble code C0267 stored in the EBCM and found that the module was faulty. They attempted to repair the module by opening it up and re soldering some of the contacts inside the circuit board. After the initial repair, the truck drove fine for a few days before all of the lights came back on. When they reopened the module to inspect it, they found that it had been completely burned and fried. So, they decided to replace the damaged unit with a used replacement from the salvage or junk yard. Now there are no trouble codes in the ABS module and no ABS warning lights on the instrument cluster, but the TRAC OFF light on the button stays illuminated. With our scan tool we find the trouble codes P1571 and P1689 stored in the PCM or engine control module.
