In todays video we look into a common issue causing mifires and low compression on Chevy and GMC Cars, Trucks and SUV's equipped with the Active Fuel Management system. Active fuel management uses a control system that disables valve lifters under certain conditions to conserve fuel. This system was an option on some 2007-2008 year model Chevy Silverado, Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, GMC Sierra and others. The subject vehicle came to the shop with a complaint of an engine misfire, an illuminated check engine light, stored codes p0300, P0304. There were active misfire counts on the #4 cylinder.
