During the annual Chevrolet Performance Media Reception preceding the 2017 SEMA show, Chevrolet Performance, along with NASCAR Champion, Jeff Gordon, introduced the 2017 NHRA Pro Stock Champion, Tanner Gray. The John Force Racing (JFR) team, lead by 16-time NHRA Champion, John Force showed up in the new NHRA Safety Safari Silverado. Jeff Gordon and Jim Campbell spoke with the JFR team about Brittany and Courtney Force's many successes this year along with Robert Hight's NHRA record-breaking pass at an astounding 339.87 MPH.
