Folks, I had a hard time getting through the making of this. The lyrics kept playing in my head and I was really moved. Truth is this is one of the most touching songs ever written. Bobby Bear was offerd the tune when it was first written, but he had to turn it down because he was recording "Detroit City" at the time, and the rest, as they say, is history.
