From iconic cartoons to the Great Wave off Kanagawa, marquage artist Cherin Sim paints customised artworks on branded bags. Growing up, Cherin had always expressed herself through visuals. Always in her own world, her mind was constantly filled with different ideas and she was always creating. Art became an organic path for her.
When she was doing her Masters degree in Fine Art, she learned leather working at Scuola del Cuoio in Italy — one of the finest leather-working schools in the world. And when she came back, she started personalising leather bags for clients in Singapore. She loved the idea of one of a kind, truly tailor-made creations to suit the personality and lifestyle of each client.
