Step ashore with us in Cherbourg, France, as we make the most of our final day on Cunard Queen Victoria before sailing back to Southampton. From exploring the historic port to indulging in Mediterranean flavors at Riviera Restaurant, this day is packed with adventure, fine dining, and one last unforgettable sail away!
🚢 Morning in Cherbourg – Exploring the Port & Museum
We begin our day docked in the charming port of Cherbourg, a town steeped in maritime history. We take a stroll through the port area, stopping at a fascinating local museum that dives into Cherbourg's naval past and connection to transatlantic travel.
🚌 Heading into Town – Sights & Local Cuisine
After soaking in the port side history, we hop on the free shuttle bus into Cherbourg town centre. From stunning architecture to charming local shops, this little French gem has plenty to offer! Of course, we couldn't leave without indulging in some delicious local cuisine-stay tuned to see what we try!
🛳️ Back Onboard – More of Queen Victoria
Once back on Queen Victoria, we take time to explore more of this elegant ship. Whether it's the stunning lounges, the grand atrium, or relaxing on deck, there's always something new to discover.
🥂 One Final Sail Away – Champagne on Our Balcony
No cruise is complete without a sail away toast! We pop a bottle of bubbly and raise our glasses to an incredible journey as we depart Cherbourg for one final night at sea. There's something so special about watching the coastline disappear with a glass of champagne in hand.
🍽️ Dinner at Riviera Restaurant – Mediterranean Perfection
For our final night's dinner, we dine in Riviera Restaurant, Queen Victoria's specialty dining experience inspired by the flavors of the Mediterranean. From fresh seafood to rich pasta dishes, the menu is an absolute treat!
⚓ Back in Southampton – Disembarkation Day
And just like that, our Christmas Markets Cruise comes to an end as we arrive in Southampton. Saying goodbye to Queen Victoria is never easy, but don't worry-we'll be back cruising very soon!
