· This assumes basic knowledge of FFX, like how to get and power up the easy celestial weapons like Yuna's.
· This assumes OPTION THREE when recruiting Yojimbo.
· With Grand Summon, Yojimbo is much more likely to use Zanmato. Never use regular summon.
· First Strike isn't required for Dark Aeons, but highly recommended as the Aeons almost always get the first turn. It IS required for Ambush fights; First Strike overrides this.
· You can pay him more than 512 gil, but the odds do not increase linearly. This amount gives about a 32% chance of Zanmato upon acquisition & first use. Fully trained (see below) gives about 39% chance.
· To train Yojimbo, get & power up Yuna's Nirvana by doing the Remiem Temple stuff to completion. Set Yuna's overdrive to Ally (charges every turn), so with Nirvana's Triple Overdrive, her overdrive will charge 12% every turn. Start a weak fight, get overdrive, Grand Summon Yojimbo, and get him to use Zanmato. Reset if he doesn't use it. Save and repeat if he does. This raises compatibility. (I personally skip this as I don't care about a 32% vs 39% chance)
· With higher compatibility, Yojimbo may use an undesirable free attack automatically when summoned. At max compatibility, it may rarely be Zanmato.
· L1+L2+R1+R2+Touchpad+Options to soft reset. Hold during animation if it's already started. Watch for visual cues like Yojimbo nodding his head upon payment, which means he will use Zanmato.
· Obviously, you will not get 2x overkill rewards. This is mostly so you can get the loot you want/need, since the Aeons are not typically farmable. Or to just not spend hours upon hours on the Sphere Grid.
