Here's a selection of cheap Scottish adverts recorded from STV between 1981 and 1988, from back in the days when a local carpet shop could advertise at the end of a commercial break. It's those ads which were comprised of still images only, perhaps just one title card.

I don't claim that these are classics of the genre, I merely claim that these were on some old tapes I found.
