Cheap mechanical disc brakes: ZRace BR-005 Calipers #shorts @TraceVelo

Last year I reviewed a number of different mechanical disc brake calipers, including a set of hybrid hydraulic disc brake calipers from Zrace. They performed pretty well, but they had some flaws.

I recently received my L-Twoo RX 12 speed groupset in the post, and included in it, was a set of ZRace BR-005 calipers. They appear to be an upgraded version of the calipers I reviewed last year, and they seemed to have fixed the two main issues with them that I raised during the review.

Now I may have had nothing to do with this, but it’s encouraging to see that they are improving their products and dealing with their shortcomings.
