Comparing the cheapest newly-available 16GB GPU in 2025, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT, to the 8GB RTX 5060 Ti - one of the most expensive cards released this year to still have only 8GB of VRAM.
Both Nvidia and AMD insist on polluting the market with 8GB variants of their latest GPUs. Conventional wisdom would suggest that an 8GB card with this level of power in 2025 isn't worth buying, as the limited VRAM will be a performance bottleneck in some instances. I've decided to see if that means a lesser card with more VRAM can actually outperform it, and if that means you should buy one instead - or if you should just save your money.
