Chaviva Hosek is the new President of the Canadian Institute of Advanced Research. She is here to discuss what she's been worrying about for a while, the space for creativity, both artistic and scientific, in Canada. The Canadian Institute of Advanced Research is about using Canadian space so that within it we both encourage and enable the very highest quality research in areas of intellectual risk and creativity. Through it, we enable Canadians to be linked to some of the most exciting thinkers in the world so that together they can do things they might otherwise not be able to do. Here, Chaviva touches on globalization, power, control, creativity, as well as touching on some of the subjects other presenters spoke on and relating them to her theories.
