The Queen's Reading Room Festival returns to Chatsworth in Derbyshire this year (19 & 20 September 2026). In this film, we rewind the clock to the 2025 festival, where authors Jojo Moyes and Helen Fielding describe the process of creating 'heartthrobs' and taking their characters (and readers!) on rollercoaster emotional journeys.

This year's festival offers the opportunity to hear from authors specialising in a broad range of genres, from crime and romance to young adult fiction.
