This video walks through ChatGPT’s new “View sources” feature that shows which saved memories influenced a response and lets you inspect them. On the web version (not yet in desktop apps), you start a new chat, ask a question, then use the three-dot menu on a response to open “View sources” and see the memories used, click into each one to view the related archived conversation, and mark a memory as relevant or not, or correct it. It also shows how to view and manage all saved memories via the three-dot menu or by going to Personalization - Memory - Manage, where you can sort, search, view history, or delete all memories. Privacy notes include that shared chat links don’t include memory sources, and temporary chats don’t use or update memory; memory can be turned off in settings.
