So here's how the day went. I woke up at 5 AM to pick up Dan and Colin, so that we could get night shots of J746 parked in Rockdale. On the road my stomach is tripping balls, still no idea what was up with that. So we get to Rockdale, no J746, no CSX power. My stomach on the fritz, about to crap myself, we went to Joliet station where I thought the bathrooms would be open. Hey, they weren't! After being at UD for over an hour we heard numerous horns on The J. We took a drive down to The J's Joliet Yard and saw nothing. We drove around and then hard, EJE 668 east, here is your warrent. We flew to Washington Road where we started our chase of three EJ&E SD38-2's! What's funny was that Nictrain35 called us and said, "Hey you guys got a K3 coming your way, not sure what it was, but let me know." While he said that I stood staring at the three EJ&E SD38-2's and said, "Ok thanks man, bye." Caught him again at Rowell Road, and a third time in New Lenox. The Rowell Road video is a picture I took from the spot. Since I forgot to bring my tripod I set my video camera on the ground and hoped that it would turn out. It didn't. We drove around some more on some road and wound up at UP's Global 4 yard. We saw the orange LTEX unit, it was fun. We took Brandon road down to the Chillicothe to try to get back to UD to get Amtrak 300, and on the way we saw a stack on the Chilli, and a draw bridge go up, along with getting video of a lock closing! Dude it was awesome!
