All Calvin "Jackie" Dean wanted was to clock out of work at the Post Office and make his way across town in time to see the legend Train Walker perform. Perhaps to get his mind off of his troubled marriage. The enchanting sound of Train's Alto Saxophone would lull Calvin's troubles to sleep for a while.
After discovering that the bouncer wasn't letting anyone else in, Calvin thought his quest to see his idol had been a lost cause. When he finally got into the club through the back door, he was surprised to find Train right in front of him eating a sandwich. He never imagined that a face-to-face conversation with the Train would change his life forever.
Chasing the Train is a jazz-laced, Neo-Noir drama about a chance meeting between strangers; one weathered, famous, and full of advice. The other troubled, somewhat naïve, and running away from the pressure. In the end the beautiful music is the final push that leads our protagonist back to the righteous path he seeks.
