Round two.
Today we stuck around the CPKC's Elgin and C&M Subdivisions to chase the CPKC Holiday Train on their way back to Canada but not without some stops in the midwest on the way. Before we began our chase we managed to catch a few trains along the CPKC in the form of 541 with an NS Dash 9 leader (crazy how those are becoming rare), CPKC I45 and an outbound Metra at Deerfield. Aside from those we managed to chase the Holiday Train from Franklin Park as far as Sturtevant, WI before making our way home. Thanks for another great year with the Holiday Train, CPKC! Enjoy!

The last two shots of the video show the Holiday Train as she speeds through Wadsworth after their stop in Gurnee, Illinois and then her pulling into Sturtevant after waiting for a delayed Amtrak 339 to get ahead of them.
