Today, I am checking out the new @charvelusa American Neo Classic San Dimas in Racing Red. One of a new line of Charvels designed to capture the classic style and look that made Charvel so synonymous combined with subtle modern appointments to make performance and the overall playing experience effortless. These guitars are assembled at the Fender Factory in Corona, California. 2 new models in the range, 4 colours each.
The spec is typical of Charvel which I love! However the quality of this particular Charvel I have been loaned to make some videos with is something else. The attention to detail particularly in the setup is fantastic. The fit and finish are both flawless.
Sonically it is on a par with a mexican made pro mod but the overall quality is superior. The guitar comes with a soft case which is nice given the £2,400 price tag (as of July 2025). This guitar is made for the long game and would be a real investment for a player who is truly passionate about the craft. A true life keeper. My only request to Charvel would be to produce these in more colour options such as sea foam green, desert sand, sonic blue.

- Gold Hardware w/ Parchment pickup bobbins, a lovely touch
- 5 Way blade switch with volume positioned further away. The perfect control layout for me personally.
