The cards in this video will be featured in the PSA Booth at the San Diego Comic Con. Sharing part of the collection with other passionate hobbyist will help to grow the community and empower other future collectors to join. Pokemon card collecting is an inclusive hobby that has enough depth for everyone. There are millions of cards out there and surely a collector for every one of them.
The graded card portion of the hobby is for the collectors who want to protect their collection through encapsulating cards individually. Some collectors seek to protect their childhood memories, while others may be asserting value of their new collections through grading. Grading helps remove card quality uncertainty between collectors who may have different levels of experience and may also be seeking to trade, sell or insure cards in the future.
I have elected to pursue the graded portion of the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) in order to collect the best examples of cards I played with in my childhood. The journey is what makes collecting and the hobby fun. It's the people you meet, the friends you make and the experiences to be remembered. There never really is an end to collecting. Challenges evolve and goals change. Sometimes the ugly card with the thick E-series border grows on you. It's all about being active in the community and appreciating the different collecting paths each collector takes.
