There are four characteristics physicists are looking for in a Theory of Everything. This is based on Albert Einstein’s statement:

"It can scarcely be denied that the supreme goal of all theory is to make the irreducible basic elements as simple and as few as possible, without having to surrender the adequate representation of a single datum of experience."

1) It should be irreducible
2) It should be only a few things
3) It should be simple
4) It should represent all the data
