In this part, we behind our Chapter Intermission activities after completing Chapter 3. We upgrade our partners with our currently collected Shine Sprites, complete a few more Troubles, and make use of our new Super Hammer to find some new collectibles. Lastly, we visit the Thousand Year Door and Professor Frankly to update our Map and find out how to reach Twilight Town and begin Chapter 4.

- Jolene's Trouble "Help wanted" requires us to meet with Jolene in the Glitz Pit's Promoter's Office and help her clean up the trash in the Storage Room. The trash in question is a mass of Battle Trunks that we need to collect and then take to Goomfrey in Rogueport to dispose of. Afterwards we return to Jolene for our reward of 30 Coins.
- Merlee's Trouble "Heartful Cake recipe..." requires us to meet with her in the Rogueport Underground to learn about the recipe she wants. We then visit Toce T. in Petalburg to learn the recipe, and return to Merlee. Merlee will then ask us for Cake Mix, which we can buy at the Pianta Parlor. After giving her the Cake Mix, we complete the trouble and get our reward of 30 Coins.
- Bub-ulber's Trouble "The food I want." requires us to talk to them in Petalburg and give them the food they request. The food items in question are two Hot Dogs from the Glitzville Hot Dog Stand, and a Mousse Cake made by Zess T. with just Cake Mix from the Pianta Parlor. Our reward is a Dried Bouquet and the ability to obtain more for another Hot Dog.
- In order to use the pipe that leads to Twilight Town and Chapter 4, we must visit Darkley in the back alley behind Merlon and Professor Frankly's homes.
