In this part, we complete all five Odd Jobs, a.k.a. Side Quests, currently available in the Grasslands region. There is one additional odd job in this region, but it will not become available until Chapter 11.

- As we'll be tackling Odd Jobs in this video, I'll inform you of something now. Each Odd Job nets points with a specific party member and makes them more likely to be your partner in the event that takes place later in the game. Please keep this in mind if you have a specific party member in mind, and also remember that you'll be able to use the post-game Chapter Select to see all the other party members events anyway. I'll leave the name of the character who gets points in parenthesis when describing the odd jobs below.

- The "Flowers from the Hill (Aerith)" Odd Job is completed by talking to Chloe at Bill's Chocobo Ranch and agreeing to find the flowers she needs to make some flower crowns. The flowers in question will be found at the Wildflower Plateau which is located just north of the Pipeline Depository Excavation Intel in the northwest part of the region. Upon arriving, we'll first need to defeat the Mandragoras ruining the flowers. Afterwards, we need to pick flowers that match the picture Chloe gave us, which would be White, Yellow, and Red Flowers. Once collected, we return them to Chloe to complete the odd job and get our reward, Telluric Scriptures Vol. I for Aerith, which will give her 10 SP.

- The "Lifeline in Peril (Barret)" Odd Job is completed by talking to the Mayor Fritz in Kalm, and agreeing to help the other Merc he hired with the Mako pipeline repairs they promised him. From here, we head to the Maintenance Warehouse in the arid western part of the region to discover the Merc is actually Kyrie from the previous game. Kyrie will ask us to gather the remaining parts she needs for the repair, and we'll have to wander the arid area to find what we need. We'll need at least 1 Slab of Rusted Sheet Metal, and 2 Corroded Nails to complete the repairs, however, we can optionally collect everything for a better reward. Once we gather everything, we return them to Kyrie and follow her to the pipeline to assist in the repairs, making sure to defend her from fiends along the way. During and after the repairs we'll have to fight a total of three Noxicap before following Kyrie back to Kalm to collect our reward from the Mayor, 3,000 Gil.

- The "A Rare Card Lost (Tifa)" Odd Job is completed by talking to the Barkeeper, Vash, in his bar in Kalm, and agreeing to get his Queen's Blood Card back for him. We start by defeating Vash in a Queen's Blood game to prove we can handle the request. We then approach Virgil in front of the Kalm Clock Tower and challenge him to a Queen's Blood game for the card, but upon winning he tells us he sold the card. Afterwards, we head to Thorin's Card Shop in the Grasslands to the east of Kalm, and challenge Thorin to a game of Queen's Blood to finally obtain Vash's Card. Finally, we return the card to Vash to complete the odd job and get our reward, the very same Queen's Blood Card we struggled for, Chocobo & Moogle.

- The "Livestock's Bane (Red XIII)" Odd Job is completed by talking to Oliver on him farm in the Grasslands and agreeing to help defeat the fiend that is attacking his animals. We then have Red track the fiend's scent before having our Chocobo track it instead, and take us to a coastal area. Here we defeat the White Terror and then report back to Oliver for our reward, an Owl Bracer.

- The "Where the Wind Blows (Red XIII)" Odd Job is completed by speaking with Broden at his Inn in Kalm and agreeing to help Mildred repair her windmill located north of Thorin's Card Shop. Mildred will inform you that a Windmill Gear is required for the repair, which must be crafted using the Item Transmuter. However, its Transmuter Chip must first be retrieved from the Bygone Settlement. Additionally, a Quetzalcoatl Feather is necessary; if you don't have one, prepare to battle the regional boss again. Once the Windmill Gear is crafted, return to Mildred and then Broden to receive your reward: a Whistlewind Scarf.
