A Code Blue in the hospital is a coordinated response to a patient whose heart has stopped beating. The goal is to restore a regular heartbeat through CPR and medical intervention. Activation of a Code Blue automatically involves a high physical, emotional, and spiritual impact on the patient, the family, and the staff members who respond. In this video I talk about my response as a chaplain to a Code Blue at the hospital.
