Hello my loves!! Welcome back to Chan’s Room, this time with two episodes :) I wanted to make something special for my first video of 2021, so what better than our Captain LOL
I’m really grateful for you all, and I’m excited to see what fun we can have in this new year :)
Okay, here’s my little rant as I said in the video. If you want to hear my opinion on Chan’s end-of-live-hugs then please read, if you don’t care, please read anyway :)
I know we’re probably all aware that “fan service” is a thing in Kpop (if you don’t, basically it means when idols go above and beyond to make their fans happy) but all I’m here to say is this: we are blessed and incredibly lucky to have someone like Chan make these Vlives for us so often. He started giving virtual hugs a few months ago and I’ve noticed that now that it’s become his “thing” or his “signature” or a “habit” that people think he owes us a hug every time. Listen Susan… Chan doesn’t owe us jacksh*t. Excuse my language, but he decided to make Chan’s Room to keep us company and make us and himself happier, but people are thinking that this man MUST give us a hug or it means he doesn’t love us anymore. It’s Chan’s choice. It’s Chan’s videos, it’s Chan’s body and it’s his hugs. Like I said, we’re lucky as heck that he loves us so much to do these sweet things (Chan’s Room, fan signs, reading comments, high-fives, playing songs, hugs) but I don’t wanna see ANYBODY giving him guilt or making him feel uncomfortable or required to do these things. I WANT HIM TO DO THESE THINGS BECAUSE HE WANTS TO, NOT BECAUSE HE FEELS HE HAS TO-
Okay *breathe* there we are. I’m glad we can all agree. STAYs are hella lucky to have Bangchan. He is a sweet, loving, smart and talented human who above all else deserves our respect. I will rocket launch anyone that says otherwise. Okay fam, that is all :)
… also I don’t wanna see no comments about Baby Lexi’s dancing. It was a phase.
