Michigan State University’s Danny Caballero and his colleagues are leading an effort to revolutionize how physics is taught at the college level.

Their research-based learning model is improving courses and growing MSU’s strength in STEM education — and gaining international attention.

“I could have gone anywhere to teach undergraduates, but here at MSU, I am part of my students’ journeys,” says Caballero. “We’re learning from one another. And seeing them achieve their goals is the most rewarding part of my job.”

Michigan State University has been advancing the common good with uncommon will for more than 160 years. One of the top research universities in the world, MSU pushes the boundaries of discovery and forges enduring partnerships to solve the most pressing global challenges while providing life-changing opportunities to a diverse and inclusive academic community through more than 200 programs of study in 17 degree-granting colleges.
